About AOM and the Museum tram line

Amsterdam offers you, apart from the well known museums and historic places, amother great possibility to enjoy your stay. It has three unique public transport museums which own, maintain and keep running a beautiful collection of historic trams, buses and ferry boats. For this purpose the Amsterdam Public Transport Museum (AOM), the Electric Museum Tram line of Amsterdam (RETM/EMA), and the Museum for Regional and City buses (MUSA) work closely together.

The Electric Museum Tram line (Museumtramlijn) operates classic trams for a 8 kms (5 miles) trip due South out of Amsterdam. Thousands of passengers ride the trams because they are classic, while others just travel to spend a day in the naturally layed-out Woodland Park. The trams were all built between 1915 and 1949. They served in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Vienna, Prague and Graz.

We look forward to see you soon in one of our historic vehicles!
